Art Reflection
During my time at Mountain Heights Academy’s Art class, taught by Michael Wiechmann, I have learned quite a few things about art. I learned the importance of perspective and shading in creating a realistic drawing. I also learned that color is an important factor in drawings because it helps create a tone in the drawing. Before this art class I was pretty good at drawing, but they needed a little work. My drawings are still like that now, but I now know a lot more about how to improve them and the things I should consider in doing so. I am glad that I am able to do these things and I hope my skills will slowly develop over time. Art is a very expressive thing; it allows you to convey and depict many different varieties of ideas and emotions. I believe that anyone has ideas to express. Anyone can be an artist. It just takes practice and determination. Creativity is a wonderful thing that anyone should harness to some extent. We should all study color, perspective, and shape at least to a level where ideas can be expressed in an adequate manner by which people can learn and understand. However, nobody is perfect. Even I am not perfect. We should strive for perfection, but understand that it is unobtainable. We should at least try to be very good, but not perfect. I really like using art to express myself. There are so many different things to do with art, and paintings and art will only continue to advance from here, especially with the advent of computer drawings and even animation. 3D modelling is also an art form which I am interested in pursuing. Maybe I can even try animation! That sounds like it would be a lot of fun.
